Mental Health Resources

Are you – or someone you know – fighting mental illness?

Are you curious about what different mental illnesses entail?

Here are some resources to get you started – but if you are seriously concerned about your own mental health, please see a licensed therapist or psychiatrist. Your Primary Care Physician/GP can find you one, if you aren’t sure who to see.

Suicide/Mental Crisis

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline:1-800-273-TALK (8255) – The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is free and available 24/7.  It’s the best place to call if you need to talk to someone.

What if you are in crisis, but can’t bring yourself to handle a telephone call?

Crisis Chat – An online chat resource, similar to a lifeline, with no talking necessary.

Student Resources

ULifeline – A resource for college students.  If you can’t remember the contact information for your school’s mental health office, this website will find it for you.
